Poring Hot Springs


136 kilometres  or 3 hours away from the bustling Kota Kinabalu Cityis Poring, which boasts natural hot spring with water that contains sulphuric minerals. If you are planning to climb Mount Kinabalu, then Poring will be the ideal place for you to immerse away the after-climb muscle sores and aches. Just be sure to bring along your swimwear, sandals, towel and especially change of clothes! Don’t lose your climbing permit card – free entrance to Poring when you show your card!
       Apart from hot springs, you can gear up and walk through the jungle trail leading to the Kipungit Waterfall and Langanan Waterfall. You can also trek up to the canopy walkway and be rewarded with an amazing view of the surrounding. The canopy walkway is almost 43 meters high and 174 meters long.
Other attractions in Poring include the Butterfly Farm, Poring Orchid Conservation Centre showcasing 12,000 species, and the Tropical garden. If you are lucky, you will have the opportunity to marvel the world’s largest flower – Rafflesia blooming at a site nearby.
